Elizabeth Cessario is the owner creator of Natural Tranquility. Liz is a Natural Medicine Practitioner qualified in manual practices Bowen Therapy, Remedial Massage, Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage, Aromatherapy and Infant Massage. Liz is currently training to become a Bowen Therapy Instructor. She also holds further qualifications in disciplines including Naturopathy and Homeopathy.
What inspired you to create your product range, Natural Tranquillity?
My mind used to be so active aka ‘monkey mind.’ I would often go to bed, my body exhausted but mind so active. When I studied Aromatherapy, certain essential oils resonated with me because of this. I started playing with different essential oils to see if I could stop this ‘monkey mind.’ At night time, I put a couple drops of Bergamot, Sweet Orange & Grapefruit in my diffuser, and my mind calmed right down. I tried this several times for many months, and each time it helped immensely.
This is when the idea of sharing it with everyone came about and I began formulating different Aromatic Mists. Each Aromatic Mist is handmade by me using Practitioner Only & Therapeutic Grade essential oils (mostly organic).
In our Christmas edition Splendour Box you have included your Calm the Mind, Sleepy Time
& Clarity aromatic mists. What are they made up of and how would you recommend using
- Calm the Mind: Calm the Mind’ helps to calm mental chatter, and dispel negative
thoughts. Essential oils include Bergamot, Grapefruit and Sweet Orange. It can be
used any time during the day, and works beautifully in conjunction with the ‘Sleepy
- ‘Sleepy Time’ encourages a good night’s sleep as it has a relaxing, calming and
sedative effect. Essential oils include Roman Chamomile, Sandalwood, Lavender and
Sweet Orange. ‘Sleepy Time’ is best used before bed. It works beautifully in
conjunction with ‘Calm the Mind.’
- ‘Clarity’ helps clear the mind and aid memory. It is particularly useful for study.
Essential oils include Basil, Ginger, Lemon and Rosemary. ‘Clarity’ can be used
anytime you need to help you focus. I like to spray this blend in the morning and
throughout the day.
In addition to your product range you are also a Natural Medicine Practitioner specialising in Bowen Therapy. This is a huge passion of yours – what is Bowen Therapy and who will benefit from it?
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive and holistic treatment that helps restore balance and correct dysfunctions in the body. Bowen Therapy treats the whole body; the cause, rather than the symptoms. It aims to relieve the body of pain and discomfort, to create a feeling of wellbeing and wholeness that is only achieved by the body learning how to heal itself.
Bowen Therapy involves several sets of small pressures moves to specific areas of the body. Between each set of moves there is a pause. The pause is essential as it allows the body to integrate the Bowen moves, and respond to them. You may feel sensations (such as warmth, tingling, numbness, coolness) throughout the body, which allows the practitioner to know where to work. These sensations are triggering a response along the fascia or nervous system. Often 3 sessions are required to help the body to unravel. It can take 5-10 days for the treatment to completely integrate. With this said, the body has the ability to repair itself with minimal intervention.
Everyone can benefit with Bowen Therapy and any age – newborn babies to the elderly.

- I get regular treatments so I can function optimally
- Regular exercise –yoga 3x week, and long walks.
- After clients on Saturday, no work for the weekend.
- Drink lots of water.
- 8 hours of sleep a night
